First picking
Grade P
Thinner in body and lighter in character than later pickings. Suited to blends that need a lighter, milder leaf.

Durga Enterprises procures premium tobacco leaf directly from farmers across India and supplies it to ITC — across all five commercial grades.
Our business
One link of the tobacco supply chain, walked end to end — five stages between a farmer's field and a factory floor.
Leaf bought straight from the farmer's hand — no middlemen, no opaque pricing, and relationships that have outlasted three generations of our own family.
Every leaf hand-graded by sorters who have done little else for twenty years. What we write on the bale is what is inside it.
Grades blended to each buyer's recipe, so the last bale of a consignment reads the same as the first.
Lamina separated from stem under controlled conditions, then conditioned and pressed into factory-ready bales.
Agreed volumes, on agreed dates, at agreed grades — season after season, for decades.
One accountable hand from the field to the factory gate.
The leaf

See pricingMid-late picking
Bold head leaf with colour equal to X and less width. A fuller leaf for blends that need more weight and depth.
See pricingLate picking
Full bold head with width less than C. The heaviest of the five, for blends built around a full-bodied leaf.
